Wool Sauna Seat Pad — Natural Sauna Bench Mat

Halsa’s wool sauna seat pad adds a layer of wool between you and a hot sauna bench. It is a compact sauna bench mat for traditional and infrared saunas, a personal seat-sized pad, not a full bench cover.

Made from wool felt, the pad measures 13.5″ × 13.5″ (34 × 34 cm) and is 10 mm thick. It is sized to sit on and small enough to carry to a public sauna, gym or spa.

Why sauna-goers reach for it

• Seat cushion: a wool layer between you and the bench slats
• Wool felt is absorbent, so air-dry it between sessions
• Rounded corners and hang loop for easy storage
• 10mm wool felt, the same wool felt family as our felt sauna hats
• Designed for traditional and infrared sauna seating; follow the sauna’s or venue’s guidance
• Limited first production run

Dimensions

13.5″ × 13.5″ (34 × 34 cm), 10mm thick. Sized for one person on a bench slat; bench dimensions vary, so check yours before ordering.

Care

Air-dry between sessions on the built-in hang loop. Hand-wash in cool water if needed. Never machine-wash, tumble dry, or wring.

Made with the same craft as our hats

The bench pad is made from 100% wool felt, the same material family as our Felt Sauna Hat 2-Pack.

Complete your sauna setup

The wool sauna seat pad pairs with the Halsa Cotton Sauna Towel: sit on the pad and keep the towel for wrapping or drying. See the Bench Pad + Towel bundle or the Full Sauna Kit with a Bucket hat, and our Bench Pad vs. Towel guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as a sauna seat cushion or sauna cover?
Yes. A sauna bench pad and sauna seat cushion refer to the same thing: a small, insulating pad you sit on to protect yourself from hot bench slats. Halsa's bench pad is a wool felt seat cushion sized for a single person.

Does it work in infrared saunas? It is designed for traditional and infrared sauna seating. Follow the sauna manufacturer’s or venue’s guidance, and keep the pad dry between uses.

Will it fit my sauna bench? The pad is 13.5″ × 13.5″, sized for one person. Bench slat layouts vary, so check your bench; it is small enough to carry to public saunas, gyms and spas.

Does it cover the entire bench?
No — it’s a personal seat-sized pad, not a full-length bench cover. If you’re looking for something to lay across a whole bench, a large sauna towel is a better fit.

How do I clean my wool sauna bench pad?
Air-dry between sessions on the hang loop. Hand-wash in cool water only if needed. Never machine-wash, tumble dry, or wring the wool felt.

When will my pre-order ship?
