The Halsa cotton sauna towel is made from lightweight, absorbent waffle-weave cotton and sized for sauna, spa and bathing use. It packs compactly and can be wrapped around the body or placed over a sauna bench.

Why waffle

Waffle weave has a raised texture that lifts you off the bench and gives the fabric room to breathe. It absorbs, dries between rounds when hung, and packs down smaller than a plush terry towel — making it easier to carry between the sauna and shower or cold plunge.

Care

Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low, or line dry using the hang loop. Wash before first use to open the waffle texture. Skip fabric softener — it coats the cotton fibres and reduces absorbency over time.

Why cotton and not microfibre?
Microfibre and polyester blends are common on cheaper bath towels, but synthetic fibres aren’t designed for repeated sauna heat. Cotton is a natural fibre that’s been used in sauna cultures for generations. Our towel is 100% cotton, nothing else.

Why waffle weave instead of plush terry?
Waffle has a raised, textured surface that lifts you off hard wood and gives the fabric air to dry between uses. It’s also lighter and easier to hang, wrap, and carry than an oversized plush towel.

Is this big enough to lie on a sauna bench?
At 80 × 145 cm (31.5 × 57 in), it’s sized to cover a standard sauna bench for a full-body lie-down, wrap around the body, or use as a sit towel.

Can I use it in an infrared sauna or steam room?
Yes. Cotton works in Finnish saunas, infrared saunas, and steam rooms.

Will it shrink?
Expect around 3–5% shrinkage after the first wash, which is normal for 100% cotton. We’ve sized it accordingly.

How do I care for it?
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, or line dry on the hang loop. Skip the fabric softener.
